Remembering the Dead and the Unborn-
Smahain reflections from a weary heart, as the veil between the worlds grows thin.
I have very few words these days- the world feels dense with grief and suffering. My intention in this time is to work hard to feel it all, to give praise for this life, to be of service; knowing that no individual can control the course of global suffering.
As the veil between earthly and spirit realms grows thinner at this time of the year, I’ve been calling on guidance from the Dead- what were the futures they longed for? What were their dreams for those yet to be born? Here are some words I received, from the Dead, for the Unborn ones.
The futures we long for, are born through this moment.
Plant seeds of the trees you’ll never sit under.
Plant seeds in the darkness.
Know these seeds are sacred.
Keep stretching towards feeling.
Leave nothing out.
Let it expand you.
Let go of what they said we could be;
There could never be peace.
There could never be justice.
Release that.
Re-imagine. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Root down and remember.
What are we,
if not a dream of a single-cell plankton?
Birthing itself into existence.
Clumsily, violently.
Trying to become what it longs to be.                                       Reaching towards improbable shapes, the unlikely breaths.
Inhale, let the light feed you.
Exhale, let it feed life.                                                     Keep breathing the futures we long for.
Who are you becoming as the story of this civilisation unravels?
