Thanks Tim LeRoy — yes I know citizens asemblies and definately would love to see them become common practice in decision making. I’m also curious about faster ways that greater numbers of citizens in a place can surface their feelings, ideas, thoughst etc and get involved in participating. Post the last financial crisis — the city of Rekajvic created a platform that allow all residents to suggest ideas or issues which other citizens vote up or down, these are then taken into the local govt dsecison making plans and systems. I’m also thinking how can we understand ‘feelings’ more, a bit like the emoji buttons after visiting the wc in an airport! Would love to be able to see how a population is feeling more around stuff — and if it can express itself more/feel heard — what happens?
