This week in the Northern Hemisphere, we’re marking a turning in the wheel of the year with Imbolc.
A threshold moment of no longer being in the depths & darkness of winter and not quite in full abundance of spring yet.
Imbolc is an ancient Gaelic festival and the word translates to ‘in the belly’.
This in-between time, is not a void but a potent time of gestation, as we prepare for the return of Spring.
As we look around, each day brings a little bit more sunlight, and a little bit more warmth to the ground for seeds to swell up and for tiny green shoots to begin to come up.
Things are quite clearly starting to stir up and so this may be the time to connect with what’s stirring up within you.
What might you want to bring to life over the coming months?
Here’s a short embodiment practice for connecting with this time of the year and for practicing multiple ways of knowing.
